Abstract

Diabetes is one of the commonest co-morbid illnesses in today's world. Due to the lifestyle changes, the incidence of diabetes, as well as the complications associated with diabetes, is found to be increasing day by day. Among the various parts involved in diabetic-related complications, the foot is the frequent site for developing an ulcer and related changes. The purpose of this article is to review the clinical features,  associated complications, and nursing care for the diabetic foot. Databases like Pubmed, Google Scholar, Medline, Cochrane were used to search the articles. The study summarizes that Nurses play an important role in screening, education, early detection, provision of intervention, and preventive measures for diabetic foot.
