Abstract

linical nursing education within Australia requires attention. It requires a creative approach to improving current practices to ensure quality undergraduate education. The number of students enroling into undergraduate nursing programs within Australia is determined by the clinical placements available within the health care service. Effective partnerships are required to support high quality clinical experiences and sound nursing education. A recent project delivered by Southern Cross University in Northern New South Wales, Australia aimed to improve the current system through the introduction of a clinical teacher leader. This paper reveals the evaluations of the project in its first year of operations.
